Cannasol™ Happy Emily® Canna Lily has rich deep green foliage topped with non-stop golden yellow to apricot blossoms. At 18-22" tall, it’s a great choice for a border, a container, or anywhere you want a high-color tropical plant. Plant in well-drained soil in a sun to part sun location where you can keep the soil moist. Cover the rhizome with 2" of soil, eyes up, and once it starts to grow begin to fertilize it regularly and keep it watered. If you have cool springs, you can jump start your canna lilies by potting them up indoors, as warmth is the main requirement for growth. Once they’re growing and the days are warm, plant them outside. Cut back spent flower stalks to encourage new ones. Hummingbirds and butterflies are attracted to canna lilies, deer stay away.
