Exclusive to High Country Gardens, our Soft Colors Inferno Strip Pre-Planned Garden was created by renowned Colorado garden designer Lauren Springer. When faced with the prospect of revitalizing or removing a strip of dying Kentucky Bluegrass on her property, she replaced it with a beautiful combination of tough, xeric, lower growing perennials. This garden is designed for an inferno strip (also called hell strip or parking strip, the narrow space between the sidewalk and street). It includes a mix of North American native plants as well as plants from around the world that thrive in hot, sunny, sites like those found against garage walls, along driveways, or in raised brick planter beds.
