Sometimes referred to as a Hop-Flowered Oregano due to the similarities between hops and the unusual, cone-like flowers on this plant, Origanum ‘Kent Beauty’ is a non-aggressive, waterwise groundcover. Beautiful trailing over a path edge or retaining wall – or a boulder in a rock garden – this deceptively tough perennial delights from late spring to early fall with dozens of soft-pink and green, bracted flowers that cascade over its foliage. Soft-green, round leaves arranged in pairs accent the rosy-colored flowers.

Best in a well-drained site, Kent Beauty Ornamental Oregano is not suitable for locations that sit wet in winter, so grow it in waterwise perennial beds, rock gardens, or rock-mulched parkway strips. Thanks to its herbal aroma, it is rarely attractive to deer or rabbits.
